Bra History

Throughout history, bras have not always been a part of the way of life of so many women from around the world. Bra history (or brassiere history) only dates back so far when it comes to being such a commonly worn piece of garment, but it is only so fitting that it is so. There have been times in history when women's rights were all the rage and a woman felt like the history of the bra was not their history. In relation to such, there are bra history photos all around the internet and in history books that show women with flaming cups in hand, preparing to toss them onto the ground or into the trash to burn with the rest of the trash.

To this day, those who burn bras have been remembered in history. Some women feel that that was an unnecessary move on the part of those women in history, and still others feel that the history of the bra has to do with the burning of the bra as well, and that the rights of women have come quite a long way since then.

Either way, it is known that the history of the bra is a long winded one, and without it there is not much that can be done about supporting the breasts. Support is imperative for optimum health, but comfort as well so it is important to understand the role that bras have played in history. The history of the brassiere has a lot to do with the history of women in general, and for that reason, the history of the bra has been studied for some time now.

Why did women burn their bras? For one, they felt that it was unfair that they have to wear them. Secondly, women felt at the time that they were not getting the rights that they were entitled to and that angered them. For that reason there was a great deal of controversy going around about the rights of women and how the rights of women pertained to the rights of people in general, and that is where the history of the bra comes into play. While it is not always the most effective way of studying women's history, the history of the bra is an interesting one.
