Breast Health & Lifestyle
Breast health and lifestyle are not something that most people would think goes hand in hand, but they do and that is the truth. Breast cancer is one of the number one killers of women in the United States, and by 2020 it is estimated that 20 percent of all women will have been afflicted with the disease in the United States, and it is important to change your lifestyle if breast health is important to you.
The thing about breast health and lifestyle that go hand in hand is that breast health affects the rest of your health as well. For example, if you are not taking proper care of your body it can affect your breast health and vice versa; if you are not taking proper care of your breasts and paying attention to the signs, it can affect the health of the rest of your body as well and that is never a good thing. Cancer is a killer in the United States these days, a and although there are things that can be done to prevent it or lessen the likelihood of a person having to deal with cancer, it is a reality and something has to be done about breast health and lifestyle on a larger scale.
Breast health and lifestyle are more closely related than any person might think. There are things that you can do to make not only your breasts but your entire body as healthy as possible, and that has to do with eating right and treating your body right, and making sure that you have as much exercise in as you can get in. Understandably so, it is difficult to always do the right thing for your body but breast health and healthy lifestyle have to do with doing things as much as you can, not dedicating your whole life to it.
First of all, as far as you're eating habits go eat as many fresh fruits and vegetables as you possibly can. Leafy greens, bright fruits, bright vegetables, and even red wine are all packed with cancer fighting antioxidants that are known to decrease the likelihood of getting cancer. Green tea is packed with L-Theanine, another agent that is known to help decrease the likelihood of a person getting cancer, so if you are a tea drinker, drink green tea.
Also, make sure that you get some movement in your life. Nobody said you had to be a star athlete if you wanted to keep from getting cancer, but being a couch potato is certainly not going to get you anywhere. Try out doing something that is fun for you, like walking around town or riding your bike, and move up from there. If you have kids, there is all the more reason and excuse getting a bit more active.
