First of all, one of the major HRT risks has to do with the increased risk of developing cancer. If you have circulatory problems, HRT can also have its risks for this group of people as well. Most women who have circulatory problems do not use hormone replacement therapy as it puts them at an increased risk for blood clotting and strokes. Deep vein problems and other circulatory problems are all included in this, so needless to say you should be honest with your doctor about other problems that you have and other treatments that you have undergone if you are looking into hormone replacement therapy for yourself.

Hormone replacement therapy is not all bad by any means, but depending on whom you are and what you are looking for HRT to treat, know that there are some substantial risks associated with HRT that you have to be aware of.
